Just Looking?
Many people in their search for a meaning to life are turned off by religion. It might surprise you to know that many Christians don’t like religion, either. Does this sound strange? I expect so! After all, many people think that going through a religious service is all God wants. That’s what Christians DO, isn’t it?

Of course, Christians meet for acts of worship, generally in church buildings. But this alone is not Christianity. Anyone can go through a ritual, mumble a few prayers, stumble through a few songs and go home unchanged. Yahshua (Jesus) offers Good News – and those who have had a personal experience of this know that true Christianity is much more than sitting in a building and hearing a minister talk.

What is this Good News?
We could all do with some!
The Good News is that Yahweh, the Heavenly Father, loves us! and not only that…
• He did something to prove it – something no-one else cares enough to do.
• He has made a Way for us to know Him
• He has revealed the Truth to us – some of the truth hurts, some of it brings us great hope.
• He has offered Life to us through His Son.

“For Yahweh so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”

The Good News is centred around His Son, Yahshua, who came to the earth and though innocent was crucified on our behalf.
You might not think it to look at the world, but in the death of Yahshua, victory was won over the powers of evil, sin and death. In the resurrection of Yahshua, a new age dawned. Yahweh made it possible that people could meet Him without going through a religious leader or a ritual. He made it possible for people of all backgrounds, colours, genders, racial and social classes to meet Him on an even footing. No one person who believes in Him has any inherent advantage over another.

Yahshua, crucified because of our wrongdoing, was raised from death by Yahweh’s power and now reigns as king with His Father. Through His resurrection, we can experience ‘new life’ and join with a huge group of people from every nation who have accepted Him as King over their lives. It is not through going to church that we find life, but by handing our lives over to the ‘life-giver’.
According to the Bible, every knee will bow to King Yahshua. We don’t like bowing down to people. We like to think we are masters of our destiny. However, the truth is that our destiny is wrapped up in how we respond to Yahshua. The fact is that He deserves our allegiance – he paid a heavy price for it by giving up His life on the cross. He wants us to turn to Him and entrust Him with our life – here on earth and later in heaven. By entrusting our lives to Him we are turning away from the punishment that He came to save us from – Hell.

Will you accept Him as your King?
In order to hand your life over to Yahshua, certain steps need to be taken. You can receive Yahshua when you:
• Acknowledge sin
[The Bible says ‘sin’ is disobedience to Yahweh and His commands. We have all done wrong things. Yahweh calls these wrong things ‘sin’. He hates sin because it separates us from Him.]
• Confess it to Yahweh, the Father
Here is a suggested Prayer:
Father, I know I am a sinner and need help. I am sorry for all the sin I have committed and for going my own way for so long. I now believe that Yahshua died to pay the debt created by my sin, and I accept His offer of love and forgiveness. I choose to forsake sin and give my life to Yahshua, asking Him to be my Master. Please cleanse me from all my sin, as You have promised. Come into my life and make me into the person You want me to be.
• Choose to forsake sin
• Accept Yahshua as King and Master of your life
Call upon Him today to save you and He will. Then get involved in a church, with people who will help you understand more about the truth in the Bible and how to live a life of discipleship. There is no better way of life than to know The Way, The Truth and The Life.
