MalawiThe Congregation of Yahweh in Malawi currently comprises of 4 local churches and 2 smaller groups. Hizzie Nazombe, along with his wife Annie, oversee the on-going training and developing of ministers and those aspiring towards ministry. This he does through regular visits to the branches where he trains those young men and women who are showing promise in areas of ministry. He also works with newly installed Shepherding teams to ensure a balanced and fruitful approach towards spiritual growth. The most recent addition to the network is in Namiyango, Blantyre where Hizzie and Annie Nazombe reside. Their home is often used as a retreat for ministers and a short-term home for those who want to be more involved in the work of the Church. Due to the nature of the country and the climate, travelling to the rural churches proves difficult and it is our prayer that at some point in the near future Hizzie might acquire an ‘off the road’ vehicle to enable travelling during the rainy season, November to April. Much work needs to be done to ensure numerical and spiritual growth for the Church in Malawi. Ongoing support is needed in way of finances and spiritual training. Literature sent from the UK has been a means, over the years, of keeping the Congregation of Yahweh in Malawi in reaching distance with the Congregation in UK. On receiving literature it is a common sight for members and ministers alike, to carry the literature everywhere they go until every last word is utterly digested. The people feed off the spirit of the magazines and leaflets – indeed they are a spiritual lifeline. It is important that regular distribution is made for the spiritual wholeness of our much loved people in the 11th poorest country of the world – Malawi, the warm heart of Africa.
