What about mobile phones, the World Wide Web, satellite communication and navigation, instant news events with pictures and so on? Do you know how these work? Relatively few of us do, but one thing is certain, they do work because they have tapped one of the fixed laws of heaven and earth; they work because humanity has sourced divine creativity!
Balaam, employed by King Balak to curse Israel, found he was unable to do so because Israel had already been blessed by Yahweh! Under great duress he said to Balak, “[Yahweh] is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19)
The Bible is full of promises and blessings for those who love Yahweh. The most amazing of these is the gift of salvation made available to us at exorbitant cost – the sacrifice of His precious Son. In every eventuality and circumstance of life the goodness of our Father floods out to those who believe in Him. It may not arrive in the way we expect or take the form of what we would wish, but the fact remains that what Yahweh has said He will do! We can depend on it!
For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
