Thought For The Week 50
Writing to the Corinthian church the apostle Paul expounded on his observation that Yahweh chooses the foolish, weak and despised of this world to serve Him. [1 Corinthians 1:27-28] This scripture has always captured my heart and I have rejoiced to see its reality unfold before me many times. I have also noticed that though Yahweh may take those the world despises, He doesn’t leave them like that. When He chooses us we are like that bar of steel, un-fashioned, but His ultimate purpose is to mould us according to the vision He holds in His heart for each one. All we have to do is learn how to yield to Him - and then do it a lot!
Our Father is proven faithful! His constancy never faltered over the centuries and He can be totally trusted. His will for each life is perfectly established and He will never let us down or abandon us. Whatever you are going through today is temporary, but it will be bound into the greater plan He has for you, and that will, eventually, bring you into His awesome, holy Presence!
But our [Elohim] is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.
