Training

Aims of the Training Centre

The Training Centre is being set up to equip individuals to discover and realise their potential and ministerial calling and to support them throughout this process.

Through training and opportunities for service students will

  • gain a greater understanding of Yahweh, the Bible, themselves, the church and the world
  • recognise and develop their gifts, becoming proficient in their area of service
  • be able to communicate their faith more effectively
  • be assisted in putting thier training to effective use

Outline of Courses

Courses will be divided initialy into three types: Foundational, In-Service and Certificate. Later we will be developing further courses leading to diploma and extended diploma levels.

Foundational
These will lay a foundation from which students may move on to certificate courses. They will be open to all and will include topics of general interest and "tasters" which will help people decide on the suitability of more advanced courses.
In-Service
This category of courses cater for specific needs of people already active in churchh work. Some of the subjects will form part of Certificate and Diploma courses, but they can also be taken separately. These courses are open to anyone in full or part time ministry.
Certificate
At this level credits will be awarded on the completion of each course. The credits may be accumulated towards a certificate. Previous study will be taken into account and credits may be awarded for suitable courses already completed.
