Who We Are

The Congregation of Yahweh’s purpose is to establish and develop growing and healthy congregations throughout the UK and other parts of the world. This is nothing less than recapturing the power and lifestyle of the Acts 2 congregation.

This means:

• introducing lost people to a living and vital relationship with Yahshua the Saviour, connecting them with a fellowship group where they can be nurtured and build life-changing relationships, and welcoming them as members of the fellowship.
• enabling believers to grow in their knowledge of Messiah in order to become more like Him as they take up, and advance in, the disciplines of discipleship. Here they experience real and ongoing transformation as Yahshua is formed in them (Gal 4:19).
• encouraging disciples to discover their Yahweh-given ministry gifts and to use them in serving the Church.
• empowering ministers to reach out to the world with the Good News of Yahshua and to discover their mission.

In establishing ‘growing and healthy congregations’ we expect to find people who are enthusiastic about their faith, charged up about their church, devoted to fellowship – sharing their lives with others, excited about their gifts, and passionate about their service. We believe a healthy congregation grows and reproduces itself; therefore we promote personal growth and discipleship.

Over several decades the Congregation has been restored to some significant biblical truths which run counter to some Christian traditions. For example:

• As a Congregation we use God’s personal name, Yahweh, and His Son’s original name, Yahshua.
• The celebration of Christmas and Easter (which have pagan roots and no biblical authority) are no longer observed. Instead the Congregation celebrates the seventh day Sabbath and the biblical feast days.
