Growing Up
Thought For The Week 7
Growth is a sign of life and spiritual growth is an indicator of spiritual life. We will see more and more evidence of the heavenly Family to which we belong as we allow the beauty and likeness of Yahshua to be impacted on us.
It has rightly been said that whatever a person wants badly enough and persistently enough will determine that person’s character. What is it that you want intensely? The basis of all true spiritual growth is sincere and sanctified desire. Yahshua spoke of us ‘hungering and thirsting’ after righteousness, putting its desire into the arena of something which must be satisfied in order to sustain life. Maturing [or growing up] in the life of the Spirit is governed by the intensity of my basic need for Yahweh and His holiness, and that need regularly being met as I seek for Him with all my heart.
If we concentrate on getting to know Yahweh, spiritual growth will happen as naturally as the growth of my new great-nephew.

The Test Of LoveWe look at our lives through a spiritual lens now, as we see how our actions as husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, friends and coaches, workers and employers relate to [Yahweh's] will.
