As I muse on this today I wonder if I have any right to feel so shocked. How am I, how are we, affected by the ‘sins of the nations’ that surround us? There are different sins being flaunted in the world in which we live; different maybe, but equally objectionable and outrageous in the eyes of Yahweh. Am I inured to their nature by long exposure? Do I do things ‘secretly’ that I wouldn’t do before my minister or my spiritual family? Have I ceased to be shocked and outraged by the ‘sins of the nations’? Have you? Where does my heart sit in relation to Yahweh and His righteousness?
I’m taking a heart check this morning and opening up to the searchlight of the Holy Spirit, asking Him to flush out every corner and illuminate any thoughts or actions that are alien to Yahweh’s holiness. Will you join me?
As we move towards the Feast of Unleavened Bread it is a time for heart searching; a time to allow our Father to identify any ‘leaven’ He may find in us; a time to yield to that sweeping, cleansing, refining fire so that we might go up the Feast with rejoicing.
They followed worthless idols and themselves became worthless.

We need to stop worrying about some things in life. [Yahweh] is on our side. He is behind us, with us and ahead of us.
