Yahweh is so good to us that we readily lift our hearts in thanks and praise, a reaction which is basic and very proper…after all, it’s good manners to say ‘thank you’ for ‘services rendered’! But my question to you today is, “Do you admire Him?” Do His excellence and magnificence, His gentleness and His mercy fill you with ‘wondering esteem’? Do they flow over you filling your heart with ‘pleasure and delight’? How do you feel about the Mighty One?
For me one of the chief blessings of the New Covenant is the promise that we will all know Yahweh! [Jeremiah 31:34] Yahshua purchased this joy for us on Calvary. Do we take it seriously? We can know Yahweh! In the same way that we have an increasing understanding of and love for Yahshua as we walk with Him, so, too, can our relationship with and knowledge of Yahweh increase. And to know Him is, surely, to admire Him. Our worship is enhanced when we move away from thoughts of what Yahweh has done for us and closer to thoughts of the wonder and excellence of His holy nature.
No longer will they teach their neighbour, or say to one another, ‘Know [Yahweh],’
because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares [Yahweh].
