Deborah Kerr’s character found herself in a royal palace in a strange country and having to learn all the customs and manners related to that. Does the situation sound familiar? We are translated out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light and find ourselves in a new world, with a new King and having to learn all the manners and customs of this world. Yahshua is the best of Teachers and we learn from Him; the greatest way is to get to know Him and He will instruct us in the ways of His Kingdom and introduce us to His Father. He said, in fact, that if we really know Him we already know His Father.
Our spiritual growth is intrinsically connected to our knowledge of Yahweh; our personal experience of Him and the many aspects of His character that continually delight the heart. Getting to know the Father will require a whole lifetime, but the advantage is that the more we ‘discover’ Him, the more we get ‘acquainted’, the more we will mature. There is no end to what has been aptly called ‘…the holy task of cultivating [Yahweh].’ [Tozer] This adventure is not just for ministers or missionaries but for every child of Yahweh. He is open to be known by us, we only have to set our hearts to search for Him.
“If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.” - Yahshua
