I thought about this today as I was musing about faith and read, “When you walk, your steps shall not be hampered [your path will be clear and open]” [Proverbs 4:12 Amp]. Commenting on “We live by faith, not by sight” [2 Corinthians 5:7] Henry Clay Trumball wrote, “[Yahweh] only builds a bridge of faith directly under the feet of a faithful traveller. He never builds the bridge a few steps ahead, for then it would not be one of faith.” Sometimes, when I’m driving a loaded trolley at a secured doorway, I almost hold my breath because it seems to be tightly shut until the last minute; my faith rests on promise.
When we are serving Yahweh we often experience barriers in our path and sometimes these seem unsurmountable, and the way forward anything but ‘clear and open’. What do we do? Sit down and weep? Grow anxious and fretful? Faith says move forward, always onward and upward, expecting the bridge to be built beneath our feet as we go, or the obstacle to swing aside as we approach.
Do you have a difficulty facing you today? Is it a river, a mountain, a storm, a barrier? Yahweh can dry up the river; He can remove the mountain; calm the storm; move the barrier aside. Faith walks boldly through the dark, goes courageously into battle, and moves steadily towards the obstacle, trusting the Almighty Provider to open up the way. Faith rests on His promises.
Trust in [Yahweh] with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding

We need to stop worrying about some things in life. [Yahweh] is on our side. He is behind us, with us and ahead of us.
